CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS TESTS AND TRIALS 2017
All Tests and Trials are held under Kennel Club Rules and Field Trial Regulations and the Regulations of the Midland Counties Labrador Retriever Club

  1. Dogs entered at Kennel Club Licensed Field Trials must be registered at the Kennel Club in  accordance with Kennel Club Ltd Regulations for Classification and Registration B
  2. The Society may reserve to itself the right to refuse any entry except that this shall not apply in terms of performance in the draw regulations
  3. Substitutions will be acceptable.
  4. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the event can be made.  All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the competitor.
  5. If entries exceed the number of permitted runners, the right to compete in a Trial shall be decided by ballot.
  6. Novice Stakes I & II not drawn on the same date. The Club may have discretion to give priority in any subsequent Novice Stake Draw to members who are not successful in the previous draw.
  7. Should circumstances so dictate the Society, in consultation with the judges, may alter arrangements as necessary.  Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them will be reported to the Kennel Club.
  8. No modification may be made to the schedule after publication except by permission of the Kennel Club, followed by advertisement in appropriate journals if time permits before the closing of entries
  9. Judges at a Trial are prohibited from entering a dog which is recorded in their ownership or part ownership.
  10. DOGS IN CARS ON HOT DAYS

                  Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slightly warm.  Please take care of your dog.  If your dog is found to be at risk forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused

  1. Welfare of Dogs:  A competitor whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s0 are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs’ health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise.  A breach of this Regulation may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Ltd Rules and Regulations.
  2. Members may apply for one or more entries, but no member can be allocated a second entry until all applicants have received the offer of a run.
  3. If more than one entry has been applied for the first on the entry form will be assured to be the choice of priority.
  4. Anyone unable to utilise an entry must notify the FMTS & Field Trial Secretary by telephone and not by letter. Returned entries will be allotted to the next in order of the Draw for prompt acceptance.
  5. If the subscription of any member is in arrears on the date of closing of applications for entries his name will not receive preference in the draw.
  6. Spectators are asked not to bring dogs to the Trial Ground.
  7. The system of judging will be entirely at the discretion of the Judges and in accordance with the rules of the Club
  8. Videography & photography will only be permitted with the express permission of the Chief Steward and the Host.
  9. Please make your own arrangements for lunch, unless judging or officiating for the club.
